
About the Classes
Hatha yoga
-
Each class aims to develop and deepen the students awareness through synchronizing movement and breathing. Relaxation/meditation are important components of these classes. Classes combine traditional yoga, contract and relax stretching method and DNS stablization exercises.
Restorative Yoga
-
These classes are conducted with a therapeutic focus, they are designed to allow the body to relax, through movement and breathing. Relaxation practices are woven through out the class and deep relaxation/meditation at the end of the class. These classes aim to reduce stress/tension and anxiety.
Yoga Classes include

Asana: (body movements/postures) to increase flexibility, stablization and strength, develop alignment and release tension.

Pranayama: (breathing techniques) . We utilize the breath to initiate relaxation, increase vitality and balance the body and mind.

Relaxation and Meditation: Includes yoga nidra, a deep relaxation practice and various sitting meditations.

All classes run for approximately 75 minutes. They are suitable for beginners and progressive students. Modifications are given for the postures making it suitable for everybody.

Restorative yoga workshops

A series of passive postures, supported by a combination of bolsters, blankets, towels, pillows, blocks and straps.

These supported postures aid the body for comfort, when the body is comfortable, warm and the room dark and quiet our body and mind can relax.

Time will be taken to set up correctly this is important for comfort.

These postures will be held for 10 to 20 minutes giving time to relax.
What to bring: Yoga mat, blanket, cushion or pillow and drinking water. Please wear comfortable clothing.
